    Default Youth Violence

Hey everyone. I hope everyone is having a great day.
I just wanted to pop-on to write up a little something.

At 230AM (this morning), my friend and schoolmate Dario was jumped by 5 guys. Dario was beaten horribly, and did not survive his injuries. He died in hospital at 1030AM. He was only 15.
This happened in someone's driveway, although i'm not concrete on all of the details.
That was the 2nd murder in the last 4 days in my neighborhood where a kid has been killed. It devastated the community.
These types of tragedies happen every day. Too many unfinished lives are coming to sudden stops.
We as a people need to stop with the hate and the violence, and start to love(sorry if I sound like a hippie). Violence among youth is a huge problem everywhere in the world, and it needs to stop.
I hope that nothing like this every hits home for you guys!

I posted this on Dario's Facebook wall.
My condolences go out to Dario's family.
I hope that we as a community can help each other through this tragedy. What happened to Dario was horrible and unfair, and he was taken from us far too early. He had his whole life ahead of him.
From the limited time I spent with Dario, he seemed like a funny, light-hearted kind of guy.
Seeing these things happen tends to leave us with our heads hanging low, but do what Dario always did, and hold it high.
    Stay safe out there everybody

I hope that this wasn't a big ramble, I am just pretty shaken-up right now.

    I love you all.

And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

I haven't cried since my dad came to see me (about 6 months ago?), but today I cried my eyes out.
It's monday, and so school is back. Everyone was really upset, and most of our crew didn't even come in today because everyone is depressed. The candle vigil for Dario is tonight.
Even the hardest motherfuckers around teared up a bit. Everyone knew and loved Dario.
This has been incredibly hard for all of us. Other than an aunt, i've never experienced any death (other than pets). If anyone has any advice on how me and everyone else at my school can fight through this then please, make a post.
This has been incredibly tough, and it has left me drained. :'(
    Thanks everyone.
    I love you all.

I hope school offers you some sort of counseling?
Do you know why he was jumped?

Take your time to deal with this, it's a crazy world with both good and evil people in it.
Never forgot that the evil people are just a small part of society!

I can relate to you here. My situation is completely different, I just lost my grandfather last month and I miss him like crazy. I still can't believe that he's gone. R.I.P. to your friend though.

Its hard when you lose friends at such a young age and when people say you get over it, they full of shit, you never get over it, but it does get easier to remember the good times over the bad, I wish I could give you a magic formula that makes you feel good but I cant, shit nearly all the dudes I grew up with either dead, in jail, or like me in military or private security acting like shit aint nothing, trust me we feel it, but we go on living coz thats all we can do, remember ya homie in everything you do, and he shall be remembered

Well actually, the only thing you can do is let it out - everything, all the pain, the sorrow, the hurt... all of it and share with those who loved him the same way. Don't hold back. Express your feelings, write them down, talk about how u feel.

I hope the lame fucks that killed your friend get what is just deserved. Rest easy to your friend. Never easy to lose close friends and family. Take it a day at a time and if you need someone to speak with, the inbox is open.
