BS speeding ticket

I just got a ticket 4 speeding that I didnt deserve 2 get. officer said I was goin 96 which is total bs cuz i looked down and i was goin 74. speed limit was 70 on this freeway and yes i was speeding but i did not go 96. there was traffic front and behind me. ppl in front of me were goin alot faster than me and I was pretty much causing the traffic behind me cuz i decided not 2 speed like those in front of me. any possible way 4 me 2 fight this in court?

You can appeal tickets, i know someone that claimed their shoe got stuck on the pedal and got away with it but going to court might cost you more than the ticket itself.

yea i just read that and i read that i can also mail my appeal. what do u guys think are the chances of me winning? i dont really have any proof except 4 my honest word

thx this helped a lil. im just gonna fight it and just put down that I wasnt goin 96 and that i was goin 74 and that obviously the cop radared some1 else and pulled me over 4 it. im still admitting 2 speeding but 4 over the speed limit is alot better than 26 over the speed limit and i dont wanna pay around 400 bucks 4 something i didnt do

If they accept you were only 4 over, I doubt they would do anything.

Well the judge will still find me guilty of speeding... but its better than bein 26 over. ive got alot of info 2 find out. things such as whether the cop was using a radar gun or lidar. if radar i gotta find out if its been tested and calibrated and if the cop is licensed 2 use it. all those can help me in my defense. i can also go back and see if there were any big pieces of metal that the radar gun could have bounced off of. ive got a shitload of info 2 find out but i can plead not guilty by mail since i live in cali and explain my case and defense and the cop has to write and mail in his side of the story. they say theres less chance of a cop doing this because he doesnt get paid overtime 4 this and my case can get dismissed like that
